Process
Each issue of the Wineskin Magazine features a unique “W” as its logo.
Initial experimentation led to a broken glitch aesthetic. It was believed that the movement created through this effect could convey the theme of “Formation”.
However, it was eventually decided that a more natural form would work better. Through further ideation, a wad of gum served as the basis for the logo.
Further Sketches were made based on these forms, which ultimately to the final logo chosen for this issue. Its squishy shape gives a sense that it is malleable and ever changing while still being recognizeable as the letter “W”.
